Best friends Georgina (nicknamed Nana) and Chiew Ling (nicknamed Bird) started Nana & Bird (now you know where that name was derived from) as a pop-up boutique making monthly appearances in Tiong Bahru, Dempsey’s Beauty Emporium and Shanghai. The duo believe in sourcing for little known brands and bringing them into Singapore to introduce them to local shoppers.
Now, they’re extending their concept into a creative co-up and retail store that will be open every weekend from 11am to 7pm. The new, permanent Nana & Bird boutique is located at Tiong Bahru Commons, a co-op that is shared with branding and design agency BALLS. As part of the launch, Nana & Bird are featuring three labels that have yet to officially hit our shores. They are Britain’s Emma Ware and Wonderhaus and the United States’ Les FILLES.
Plenty of unique items from the aforementioned three brands (as well as several more) can be found in this cozy shopping space, so do drop by one weekend (like tomorrow, perhaps?) to check it out!
Nana & Bird’s new retail space is located at Block 79 Chay Yan Street Unit 01-02. It is open every weekend from 11am to 7pm, and on weekdays by appointment only.
